child universe

A theoretical concept arising from the inflationary universe cosmology. In mathematical terms, it would be possible to create a density of matter so great in our universe that new inflationary universes, or child universes, would spawn naturally. Although this is consistent with the laws of physics, the densities demanded are far beyond any feasible technology.
